( Lion Marmalaaaaaaade )
I've been experimenting with faux fur painting and seeing what stays and what washes out for the mascot. This way I can do a lot more detail work on the feathers instead of having to simplify so I could just sew it in. I think I have a really good mix from something I learned with painting rubber latex. :D
Excuse the purple cut outs, I wanted to spare you the site of scrap pieces all over the carpet and all that. lol

I'm almost done with sculpting the foot (it will be both feet). From the pics I see that there are some fixin' to do. You won't see all that is sculpted, as you can see by the reference.

( feetz! )
Definitely needs some smoothing, I'll do that with the heat gun tomorrow.

As mentioned before, this is a long-term project for me. I am taking it very slowly to ensure that I do everything correctly as it's a complex project. I'm not working directly from an established design, it's all in my head. :)

( More!!! )
The costume is actually built on a Mr. Incredible costume with some additions to create the collar bones, so that is why the muscles may look odd. In hind sight, I would have sewed them up to be a little more accurate.
